On 1 January 2009, SNC-Lavalin Aéroports was entrusted with the Delegation of Public Service of Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées Airport by Pyrénia, the Joint Venture which owns the airport, for a period of 12 years. This delegation led to the creation of the Société d’Exploitation de l’Aéroport Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées (SEATLP), of which SNC-LAVALIN has a 100% shareholding. The Joint Venture, PYRENIA
Created on 12 July 2005, the joint venture for the Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées airport zone, "PYRENIA", is a public establishment formed by five national authorities :
In application of Article 28 of law no. 2004-809 of 13 August 2004 on local freedoms and responsibilities, the Joint Venture for the Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées airport zone was granted ownership and responsibility for the development, maintenance and management of Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées airport by the State. It is within the framework of a Delegation of Public Service that PYRENIA chose the SNC-Lavalin Group to operate the airport's platform.
