Documents and formalities Important ! Depending on your destination, make sure you have the appropriate documents (identity card, passport, visa, vaccination certificate) without which boarding and admission to the country may be denied.


DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

For domestic flights:
A valid identity document with photo (identity card, passport, driving licence or livret de famille for children accompanied by their parents).

For international flights:
Within the European Union: national identity card or passport (even if no longer valid, but less than 5 years old).

Other foreign destinations: valid passport, visa where applicable.

Packing your Luggage

NEW SECURITY REGULATIONS (HAND LUGGAGE ONLY)

Liquids - water, drinks, perfume, gels, shampoos, toothpaste, mascara, creams, lotions, oils, sprays, shaving foam, deodorants, etc. – must be packed in luggage to be carried in the hold.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON TRANSPORTING LIQUIDS IN YOUR HAND LUGGAGE

Containers of 100 ml each maximum, in a SINGLE closed transparent bag per passenger with a capacity of 1 L maximum (such as a freezer bag - format 20 cm x 20 cm).
Exceptions: medication and baby food needed during the flight

Unaccompanied Children

Children of 4 (or occasionally 6 depending on the company) to 12 years of age may travel alone as UMs (unaccompanied minors).


5 DOCUMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL ON CHECK-IN*:

  • Ticket or booking by electronic ticket
  • Document with photo, identity card or passport in the child's name (varies depending on the destination)
  • Parental authorisation
  • Form identifying the person awaiting the child at the arrival airport, duly filled in (surname, first name, address and telephone number). This document is submitted to the airport or may be requested on reservation
  • Authorisation to exit the country for international flights

PROCEDURE:

  • Children are accompanied by personnel from Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées Airport after check-in for the security formalities and boarding.
  • Once on board, they are entrusted to a member of the cabin personnel to the destination airport.
  • On arrival, they are handed over to the person duly appointed on the form identifying the person awaiting them on presentation of an identity document.

Pets

Pets are allowed on board aircraft, either in the cabin or in the hold, unless refused for valid reasons (number of animals already on board, state of health, regulations in the destination country, etc.)


Animal under 5 kilos: allowed in the cabin in a pet carrier that must not exceed a certain volume.
NB! Certain small mammals such as rodents may be subject to particular conditions of acceptance.


Animal over 5 kilos: except in special cases, travel in the hold compulsory (pressurised, ventilated and heated) in a special carrier sold at airports.


ESSENTIAL!
Inform your airline company that you intend to take a pet with you when booking..
You will be informed of the cost of transport at that time.

And regardless of your destination, have your pet's health certificate handy.

Check-In, Safety and Security

LUGGAGE

Hand Luggage:
Only one item of hand luggage per passenger, weighing 10 kg maximum and on which the 3 dimensions do not exceed 115 cm (40 x 55 x 20 cm).
Items deemed dangerous are not admitted: weapon (including toys), scissors, Stanley knife, penknife, knife, etc. When necessary, they will be confiscated at security control.


Hold Luggage:
Luggage checked in up to a certain limit known as the “weight allowance”, which may vary depending on the destination or class in which you are travelling. For more information, contact your airline company.
If you exceed the luggage weight allowance, you must pay a surcharge per kilo or additional item of luggage.
Particular luggage (bicycle, musical instruments, etc.): consult the company with which you are travelling.


Labelling your Luggage:
We recommend that you label your hold luggage with means of identification (surname, first name, address and telephone number).

 

CHECK-IN

Check-in is compulsory prior to boarding (proof of identity required).

Two options:
1- Directly at the check-in desk in the departures hall
2- With Air France: at the 2 Air France Self-Service Terminals.

  • Electronic ticket: insert your Flying Blue card or your payment card in the self-service terminal in order to identify yourself
  • Standard card ticket: insert it in a terminal.

Final check-in time:
40 min before take-off for domestic, European and international flights.

For unaccompanied children and passengers of reduced mobility, the final check-in time for domestic flights is 40 min before take-off.


IMPORTANT:
As the final check-in time may vary depending on the company, follow the information on your ticket or ask your company to tell you the final check-in time.


SECURITY

To facilitate the security inspection:

  • Present any liquids you may be carrying to the security personnel for inspection
  • Remove your jacket or coat
  • Remove your laptop computer or other electrical appliances from your hand luggage and their case. They will be inspected separately during your own inspection.

All articles purchased in the departure lounge – particularly liquids, drinks and perfumes, etc. – are allowed in the cabin, regardless of their content.
You are therefore free to purchase anything you wish in the shops in the departure lounge, up to the statutory Customs allowances.
