Airport Access
Due to the Pope’s visit to Lourdes, significant traffic and security measures will be in place in and around Lourdes and in the vicinity of Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées Airport.
If you are travelling between 2:00 pm on 26 September and 8:00 am on Monday 28 September, we strongly recommend allowing extra time for your journey to or from the airport.

In particular, the RN21 road from the Tarbes interchange towards the airport will be closed.
Diversion routes will be in place to maintain access to Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées Airport.
👉 Please follow the temporary road signs and designated diversion routes at all times.
Airport ↔ Lourdes Shuttle Service
The AIRPORT ↔ LOURDES shuttle service will operate as normal until Saturday at noon.
⚠️ Important: Airport shuttle services will only operate to/from Lourdes SNCF railway station.
❌ The Avenue du Paradis stop will not be served during this period.
👉 We recommend arriving at the railway station well in advance, due to the exceptional traffic conditions and the high number of visitors expected.
Airport ↔ Tarbes and Lourdes Railway Stations
A special bus service will be operated by TLP Mobilités from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning to maintain connections between the airport and Lourdes.
The TL bus route will continue to operate and will provide additional services on Monday morning, maintaining the following connections:
Airport ↔ Tarbes SNCF railway station
and
Tarbes ↔ Lourdes SNCF railway station
This service provides an alternative travel option for passengers while the exceptional traffic restrictions are in place.
Allow Extra Time to Get to the Airport!
Even if your flight is scheduled to depart at its usual time, do not rely on your usual journey time to reach the airport.
The Pope’s visit to Lourdes will result in exceptionally high visitor numbers and significant changes to traffic conditions.
It is better to arrive early at the airport than risk missing your flight due to traffic restrictions.
